Just a week ago, I have tasted my first sushi, some of you might be think that "come on the first time?" well yes that was the first time I've ate sushi. I went to Ryoshi with my friends Andy-san and Tina-san both of them are love Japanese food. Ryoshi is a Japanese Restaurant located in Seminyak, Kuta -Bali.
Tina-san was ordered Katsu-don, usually if Japanese menu mentioned Don - it means that it is consist with rice and topping, and the topping is variant and serve in a bowl.
While me and Andy-san were ordered Kelapa (various sushi in one package), I have also ordered Shrimp Salad Maki.
Before we continue about my experience, let's we talk about Sushi, what is this? Based on Wiki source, Sushi is is vinegared rice, usually topped with other ingredients, including fish, various meats, and vegetables. Outside of Japan, sushi is sometimes misunderstood to mean the raw fish itself, or even any fresh raw-seafood dishes. In Japan, sliced raw fish alone is called sashimi and is distinct from sushi, as sashimi is the raw fish component, not the rice component. The word sushi itself comes from an archaic grammatical form of a word that is no longer used in other contexts; literally, "sushi" means "it's sour".
OK, I guess now we clear about what is Sushi and Sashimi. My favorite sushi is, shrimp sushi, it is really delicious...the shrimp salad maki is also delicious :D
