ThE LeGenD of Aang

Known as Avatar: The Legend of Aang, this anime now is air on one of our TV channel. Actually I must admit that this is funny and valuable anime. The main characters of this movie is Aang (The Last Airbender). I am not going to write about the cast or story coz I am sure everyone is already familiar with, but I want to share the philosophy of this anime and what make it valuable to watch. As I have read the information on Wikipedia site, that Avatar is draws on four classical elements they are Water (Benevolent), Earth (Strong), Fire (Intense) and Air (Harmonious). In the way of Chinese characters used to be written you can read in reverse and become like these; the ‘benelovent water’, the ‘strong earth’, the intense fire’ and the ‘harmonious air’. Sound cool isn’t?
Furthermore, if we look at the cultural section, Avatar is a mix of various Asian art and mythology to create a fully realized fictional universe. Wikipedia also stated that apart from its anime-inspired character designs, Avatar also draws on a mix of Chinese, Japanese, Mongolian, Korean, Indian, and Tibetan philosophy, religion, language, clothing, martial arts, and culture.
In addition, the show's Water Tribe is heavily influenced by Inuit culture. Explicitly stated influences include Chinese art and history, Japanese anime, Hinduism, Taoism, Buddhism and Yoga.
I have seen few episodes and I am curious to find the end of this story, well perhaps I will go to hunt the DVD’s version :D
For your additional information, you can find further details in Here ! :)
