Swine Flu is spread around the world, Including in Indonesia. As stated in Wikipedia, a swine influenza virus (SIV) is any strain of the influenza family of viruses that is usually hosted by (is endemic in) pigs. As of 2009, the known SIV strains are the influenza C virus and the subtypes of the influenza A virus known as H1N1, H1N2, H3N1, H3N2, and H2N3. Swine flu is common throughout pig populations worldwide.
Transmission of swine influenza virus from pigs to humans is not common and does not always cause human influenza, often only resulting in the production of antibodies in the blood. The meat of the animal poses no risk of transmitting the virus when properly cooked. If transmission does cause human influenza, it is called zoonotic swine flu.
How does swine flu transmission/spread among human?
As written by Karla Reed. It can be through coughing, sneezing, kissing, touching infected objects, touching nose, mouth, and/or eyes with infected hands.
Further, how does to prevent it - here is some clues: Covering nose and mouth with a tissue upon coughing and sneezing followed by proper disposal of the tissue / Avoiding contact with ill persons / Avoiding the urge to touch nose, mouth and eyes in general / Staying home form work and/or school upon onset and for the duration of symptoms / Assuring adequate and thorough hand-washing and use of alcohol based hand cleansers (in the absence of proper hand-washing facilities) / Providing tissues in common areas of homes, common and public areas / Encouraging pursuit of medical evaluation at earliest onset of symptoms / Use of masks to those who are exhibiting symptoms or who are ill / Maintenance of a 3 to 6 foot perimeter around a coughing patient
