SiLenT Day

Few days ago, for Hindu's there were celebrated new year. In this time also called Silent Day, where Hindu's whom most are Balinese people are forbidden to work, cook, and also turn on lighting.
In conclusion totally in silent. This happen only in Bali and you will not find it at anywhere around the world, where at night totally dark and very silent in any places.
How about non - Hindu's people. Well, we are respect this moment by also not turn on the light, but we are still doing daily activities but only around our house.
Further, at Silent day no office or any public places were open.
I have mentioned above, that one of forbidden activities is to cook, it means do not use fire, and suggested to do fasting (note: correct me if I'm wrong)
One of the interesting is that one day before Silent day - there is a ritual called Pengerupukan. In this time there were parade of Ogoh-Ogoh.
Ogoh-ogoh is a giant mannequin which made by local people and it purpose to drive away the devil.
