Her legend song is First Love, I bet, you who like Japanese song or singer are so familiar with this song, so beautiful...

Ok back to her new album, it consist of 11 new songs, and I love track #1 Michi (Road) and #3 Hanabata wo Kimi ni (a Baquet for you)

The lyrics from both songs are cool and as usual and Utada was really nailed them!

Michi is more like beat song, it makes you wanna move your hands up and umm...givin a message to never give up in life, while Hanabata wo Kimi ni, it is a kind of balad song, its slow but swing you to follow the song from start to the ending

Kefamenanu

Around 2 weeks ago I got chance to visit a new place, Kefamenanu. According to Wikipedia, Kefamenanu is a town in North Central Timor Regency in West Timor (East Nusa Tenggara Province)

It took around 1.5 hours by plane from Bali. From El Tari International Airport, Kupang to Kefa by land is about 3.5 - 4 hours by car, if you're using public transportation, you will spend around 6-7 hours.

Despite total 5.5 hours to reach Kefa, it was a good experience and another life journey in my life.

The reason to visit this town is related to work, to meet and audit one of raw mat suppliers. Then, to visit the field and also meet the farmers, therefor, the adventure was also hit to another small districts.

The road is quite good, the people in Kefa's town seem has standard life…but, somehow I feel bad, I dont know, if you go down to the village, especially me feel that I am so good living in Denpasar, Bali. I have all the access of everything, good water, electricity, various food, entertainment, so many things, and yet sometime I feel not enough.

Kefa was the 2nd place that again turned me to a point that when you feel that your life is hard, and in your head full of complaining and request to Allah SWT, then, there are people in other sides of this Indonesia or world who still struggle to live in limited access to anything

To be honest, the most sad thing is that, say a young teenage want to have better education, she/he needs to go to Kupang, and then spend hours in a bus to reach the town, stay in a rent room, etc…or maybe I am the one who feel sorry, while that young teenage feel ok because that what life provides for her/him, they accept that condition

While, I see teenage in the town where I live somehow not study in proper, too many style, spending time to hangout, do nothing important, depending on wealthy parents….in contradictory situation

However, you cannot make everything like your scenario right? A step of changing, is to do it in yourself first before hoping others did the same

Dried Mangosten Skin

Healthy life is currently become more popular among us. People selecting their food to consume, various diets, running club, bike to office club and many more

I think this is good. Where healthy life is like life style now.

Well, personally I am lazy in doing excersise and not too choosing what I eat. However, like or not I need to start pay attention to my body's healthy

In my family, there are heart attack and diabetes history, so yes, I don't want that happen to me.

Have you ever heard about mangosten or purple mangosten? It is tropical fruit, and in Indonesia, it is easy to get.

Recently, in past few years mangosten is become popular as the skin has lot of benefits.

According to khasiatkulitmanggis.com , there are some benefits of purple mangosten's skin, such as: xanthone's content: it is antioxidant, which is good as anti inflammation, anti bacteria, anti diabetes, anti cancer, and in general helping to improve the body's immunity. Further, beside consist of xanthone, the skin's content is able to reduce the cholesterol level in blood, to prevent from alzheimer, and many more.

How to process the skin?

Based on personal experience, so the dried skin need to crush it using blender, just make sure the blender is strong enough, because the skin is quite hard. Crush it to powder, then, after read several sources, I decided to take a recipe, to make 1 glass, you need to add 2 spoons of Mangosteen powder with 200ml water.

To make it efficient, I made it for several glasses at once process, you just need to time the from the recipe.

There are several way to process and consuming mangosten's skin.

The benefit that I get so far in 2 weeks consumption is stable body weight, however, to see the impact of the cholesterol and etc well need to check it to the Lab :D

Gloria Hamel and Independence Day : Indonesia 71st

Today is the Independence Day for Indonesia

In every institution, school, office..everywhere is celebrating it with ceremony and raised the Indonesian's flag.

In national level, the ceremony usually held in Istana Merdeka, its like White House in USA.

The one who has task to do this raising flag, is a group of talented students, I think they are around 15 and 16 yo from across Indonesia. They're selected and trained for about a month for a march before the D day, the group called Paskibraka (Pasukan Pengibar Bendera Pusaka). Recently one of the selected students, her name is Gloria, she been found has france passport, which is mean that she is not Indonesia citizen, the government withdrawn her from the group. This issue as usuall spreading in media so fast, pros and cons, and yet at the end, our President, Jokowi, allow her to be part of the group even only at the raise down flag's ceremony, but, as Gloria said in media that she wont ever forget this moment.

What I want to share is, about Gloria's nationalism, although his father is france and mother is Indonesian, she said she will choose Indonesia as her nationality. This should be appreciated, she lives in Indonesia since she was born, study and grow up here...so make sense if she love Indonesia.

Giving a second chance and opportunity, Bapak Jokowi has this kind of sense, and it really relieve when finally he giving back Gloria's destiny to be part of Paskibraka.

Celebrating Independence Day, I think is also mean to believe that there always chance and opportunity when you really work hard and sincere in doing something. What happen to Gloria is destiny and its written in every human's hands...

Rio Haryanto, F1, Indonesia, Independence Day

Rio Haryanto, who is he? he is the 1st Indonesian racer who join the F1, yes the 1st time
It is great achievement, of course, I admitted indeed a good achievement. Rio has a good personality, humble, charming, and religious man.
But, to be part of F1 thru Manor team, need to pay a lot of money and if I am not wrong it reached more than IDR 200 Bill.
I am proud of him, however, in other hand I feel that those bunch of money will able to make hundreds or perhaps thousand children in Indonesia for school.

A dilema, for Rio, being part of F1 is for Indonesia, his country, and he is representing Indonesia to the world
But if the cost is too much, is it worth only for one Rio?
There are so many Rio's in Indonesia, who also I believe and want to be representing Indonesia to the world, but lack of money and opportunity, then they cannot make it

I feel bad, because up to know there are many children living in the street to make money
I want them to go to school
My dream there are no drop out student because their parent is not able to pay the school feel
I wish that education in Indonesia will be improved, the system, the teacher, everything

Full Day School

Recently, the education minister has plan to apply full day school for student in Indonesia, the idea is to prevent student to go to mall/hanging out after school time.
The public reaction in generally is negative. Mostly parents did not agree to this idea. Well I am not a parent yet, but I also totally not agree.
If I throwback time, when I was student, the study time was up to 12.30 PM, sometime I need to stay longer at school, because there was additional class…tired, boring and not effective
Since elementary to university, I went to government institution, and somehow I thought that it might be better, if in basic education kinder garden to elementary, I went to private institution which they have better education system. I see the progress in my nieces.
However, private institution or school, yet they have good system, but the cost is also expensive and not every parent is able to send their children to this kind of institution.
I wish the current education minister will be able to see in general the education problem in Indonesia, rather than come up with such weird idea, full day school, which big NO from me.
Education is important, every children in Indonesia is able to study to the highest level with low cost and if possible for free. Big HOPE and I wish it will come true

Pulang Kampung - Going Back Home

In Indonesia there is tradition in celebrating Lebaran Holiday (Moslem Celebartion). It called pulang kampung/mudik (going back to hometown).

Some people are work out of his origin to find better life and opportunity, including my fam. My father is from a small city in central java, the city is klaten.

When I was 3 yo, my father got better work and we all moved to bali. More than 30 years, we are living in bali. Usually, in celebrating Lebaran, my fam will do pulang kampung, and it also happen this year.

Going back to my howetown is one of the best thing, well the food, the people, the air, everything is feel different. I love it!

Meet my family, my aunties, uncles....my childhood friend....God everything, I missed them all

I feel blessed....

A drama that rise this actor to the peak. Song Joong Ki. First time I like him, when he was played as Kang Ma-ru in drama The Innocent Man. This was his first drama where he got the main man role.

Lots people like the drama, but after this drama Joong-ki was went to military service and off from entertain industry for about 2 years.

Descendants of the Sun, is kind of comeback drama after he finished his military service. This drama is totally success.

Joong-ki role as captain in special force is really match him.

I can say this drama is one of the best Korean dramas that I ever see

You nail it Joong-ki. Well done!

Sholat - Praying

For moslem, it is a must to praying 5 times a day. It is a must for adult. Man and Woman. We called in Indonesia as Sholat. 

5 times a day are: Subuh, Dzuhur, Ashar, Maghrib, and Isya.

I was late to realise that Sholat is one ways to change someone life. I start it when I was in high school.

I feel lucky that Allah touch my soul in such a way and moved me to do Sholat 5 times.

I feel blessed everyday in my life, happy or sad, easy or hard, tears or laughing...Allah made my day and shower me with his blessing

Sometimes I still missed Sholat, but I keep my self to improve and determine to do it

My father loves various sports. I know boxing and others great sports because we used to be watched them on TV together.

Muhammad Ali believe in Islam, he changed his name since he become moslem. He is the bridge for Islam with United States.

Thousands moslems doing Sholat Jenazah for him. He is so lucky

Ali is hero for Islam and for everyone that admire his thought, action, and achievements.

Marhaban Ya Ramadhan

Welcome to Ramadhan. The holy month from moslem around the world.

During this month, it is a must for adult moslem to fasting. Forbid to eat and drink from about 12 hours, and break it in Maghrib time.

In this month, we believe that Allah SWT will give more blessing for those who really did fasting and ibadah in proper ways.

Alhamdulillah, that Allah SWT is allow me and family to meet this Ramadhan, even there was a sad news that one of my uncles died.

There was a moment in my life that I have spent it with this uncle's family, and they're taking care of me well, thus, I wont forget it.

All good wishes for him, that Allah SWT may place him in Jannah.

Marhaban Ya Ramadhan...happy fasting to all brother and sister in Islam. May Allah SWT bless us and all of us will win and celebrate Idul Fitri at the end. Amin

Field Trip : Kediri - East Java

This is my first field trip to Kediri, East Java. I will be here for about 4 days and 3 nights.

The reason for this trip is for me is to introduce my self to Tripper's organic ginger and turmeric supplier, because I am involving in purchasing this raw mat.

Before I go further, I want to share how to get to Kediri, so I took morning flight from Denpasar to Surabaya for about 45 minutes and then continue it by car for about 3,5 hours. Whew...the car driver is a pro hahaha, drive fast and lucky me I dont vomit! I think it is because the road condition is not too bad and I have good stamina...

Ok, back to field, I will spend around 2 full days to go to ginger and turmeric fields and check whether they are ready to harvest or not

The target is also to communicate with supplier of how he will fulfill the order until end of this year

Hopefully everything will run smooth and back to Bali soonn...

Nat Geo People

Nat Geo People is one our favourite channels. Yes, our, me, my sister and my mother.

It is all about various cultures, cooking, chefs, and foods from around the world, owesome!

I can sit and watch the program for hours, same like I spend to watch the K-Drama, but this time my mother has the same interest.

My mother is not a person who like spending hours in front of TV, even she likes the show. She think that addicted to a program/show is not healthy and make you depend on it and cannot pass it

Well, she likes Nat Geo People, but she watch it just for a moment, maybe around 30 minutes to a hour. Then, she leaves it and do another things.

Back to Nat Geo People,  I like this program, because its about cooking and food :D

Cooking is always interesting, I like to cook simple and fast food, so thru this channel, I see and learn more about cooking and variety of foods. Guess? Today I got new way to make kimchi, a traditional food from Korea, its similar to pickle.

It can be made in very simple way and fast, my mother is also agree to make a trial..

Today posting kinda different, I will writing about an ingredient that usually using in food industry.

According to Wikipedia "Glycerol (also called glycerine or glycerin; see spelling differences) is a simple polyol (sugar alcohol) compound. It is a colorless, odorless, viscous liquid that is sweet-tasting and non-toxic. It is widely used in the food industry as a sweetener and humectant and in pharmaceutical formulations. Glycerol has three hydroxyl groups that are responsible for its solubility in water and its hygroscopic nature. The glycerol backbone is central to all lipids known as triglycerides". Additionally, In food and beverages, glycerol serves as a humectant, solvent, and sweetener, and may help preserve foods. It is also used as filler in commercially prepared low-fat foods (e.g., cookies), and as a thickening agent in liqueurs. Glycerol and water are used to preserve certain types of plant leaves. As a sugar substitute, it has approximately 27 kilocalories per teaspoon (sugar has 20) and is 60% as sweet as sucrose. It does not feed the bacteria that form plaques and cause dental cavities. As a food additive, glycerol is labeled as E number E422. It is added to icing (frosting) to prevent it from setting too hard (taken from Wikipedia).

As I worked in food industry, the Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, High Fructose Syrup are familiar to me, we produce organic extracts. Those ingredients must be ready in stock all the time, if one of them is run out of stock, it can be affected to our production activities. Well, of course!

And here I am, come to the office in Saturday, to make sure that Glycerin order will arrive and production is able to use it right away for to produce our VIP's order…

Lesson of The Day : Respect !

In Indonesia, there are several education levels
It start with elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university
In university, normally you will need 10 semesters to finish your bachelor degree, we called it Sarjana (S1)

To get your degree, you need to conduct a research related to your subject/major study, and compile it into an essay, we called skripsi
To help finishing the skripsi, usually you will get two lecturers to guide you, she/he will make correction here and there until it is good enough to be represented in front of some selected other lecturers.

I still remember, the skripsi process was not easy, full of challenges, sacrifice, wake up in the middle of the night, sitting down in front of the computer to find ideas…
The worst thing was when one of my lecturers made correction from page 1 up to final pages…cried a lot :D
But it was turning point when afterward I did my best and I got A for my skripsi, it worth enough.

Why I share you this?
Yesterday, there were somthin happen in Medan, Indonesia. A student killed his lecture after discussing about skripsi process
The real reason, why this student did this, is still under investigation
In an article, the lecturer is good one.
Even I dont know what the real reason behind, I think as student, you need to respect your teacher, guru, lecturer, or whatever just name it….I met good and bad of them
But I respect them, I learned many things, they thought me many things.

You are the one who decided what you wanna be
I choose be a good one, a good one is not perfect
But the good one knows how to respect others!

My Stupid Boss

Take it easy, I am not talking about my Boss..

This is about a book which I have read all its series, there are 4 books not included special edition etc.

The story is about Indonesian worker who work in Malaysia, in a Malasian' company as secretary which owned by Indonesian.

Short long story, the Bossman is stuborn, oftenly asking for somthin impossible, but miracle if it could happen...ups it is about true story, so the author is the employee itself

You wont stop laughing if you read the whole series

Of  course, it is not all about funny and crazy things.

Bossman, eventhough he is unique, but he is a good boss, he take care his secretary when her husband passed away

He encourage her to be strong during the hardest moment.

Bossman's wife is also unique, which so beautiful, and still no answer why she can be fallen in love with Bossman hahaha.. .

This wife oftenly ask the secretary to teach her Indonesian's food...and this moment is kinda a nightmare to the secretary because she will record the process with handycam instead to focus learn the cooking process

Even..the secretary and Bossman always have somethin to argue in every single day, the Bossman will always find her, when she submit resignation letter...

This story is adapting into a movie, and cant wait how the story it would be.

I hope its as good as the books

Kangguru Indonesia

I still remember the 1st time I found this website

It was in year 2000, when I was started to learn internet, the bridge of worldwide knowledge, entertainment, friendship etc.

Kangguru Indonesia if I am not mistaken is a program conducted and funded by AUS Aid

One of the programs is to introduce English to students in Indonesia

They have Kangguru Megazine that you can have it for free

It is monthly edition, and I always exciting to receive it

Kangguru Indonesia thru their website is like my cyber english mentor

Thru some quizes they encourage their member to participate and using english to make essay, report, word puzzles etc

I was lucky to win around 2 quizes, and the prizes were priceless

Kangguru Indonesia will end their program on June 30th, 2016

It is not a good news...personally I really respect them, I thank them for their contribution to educate many Indonesian's students

To enrich many English Teachers in Indonesia to have proper books, recordings, to make their class better

I am going to be selfish today

Today post is about my sister and me (Rina)

Dewi is my eldest sister and I am the youngest in my family

The gap between us is 2 years

Dewi has curly hair, when she was young sometime she did want to accept the fact that her hair is curly...funny!

Me and my sister have the same star sign, it is Taurus

Our birthday dates are different, she was born on April 27th, and I was on May 11th

Unique thing is the day we celebrate birthday will always the same

If she will celebrate it on sunday, then I will have the same day 

Dewi is my mother twin, while I more like my father in phisicaly

But, the character will be the opposite

Dewi is married, she has 2 daughters, while I am still single, well dont worry I catch up her soon. Amin

It is one best things that I ever have in this life. To have sister

I cannot imagine if I am the only daughter of my parent, whew it will be lonely I guess...

Rina is more seeking anything new, gadget, restaurant, online shop, anything...

Then Dewi is usually ask Rina to help her on this and that because she count on me...whew....

Cookie of Life : Disappointed VS Happiness

Learning lesson for today, 6 yo girl does feel disappointed
She is my niece. Few days ago her teacher chosen her to be part of a dance performance
Simple dance actually, but it was made her sooo happy…

However, as she needs to join a ceremony, then she took a day off practicing
Her teacher didnt inform either her or her Mom, that the practicing she skipped will be the final
Long short story, she cannot join the performance and feel disappointed
The way she express it with mad and she said feeling dizzy….

Her mom called the school to protest
I agreed with her, there is better way if they dont want my niece to be part of the dance

Above all, I think somehow it is also a good lesson for my lil niece that sometime we meet something disappointing
I know that she is 6 yo, but life lesson could be start at anytime, because time wont running back but go forward

This is hurting me as well, I watch her grow up and hard to she her cry but the future is tough and she should grow up as strong girl and woman.
Life is not always about happiness but also disappointing

I have 2 nieces, they are 6 yo and 4 yo. They are so cute…super I can say
The older one the personality is more extrovert, expressive but easy to worry
The younger one, she is more introvert, smart…but stubborn
Both of them have cheer up our family life. My parent, which their grandpa and grandma are loving them so much
Kiddos are always fun…this moment will not back again as time going fast
I hope their future will the best they could have. They will have my love for always and forever

He said somthin like this; when you hold a rose which it has thorns, it will hurt your hands, sometime even its valuable you need to let it go if its hurt you
Learning point that I got is that, if things you have now is hurting you more compare to the benefit you get, then let it go
There is always a change to get or meet another chances and opportunities
Well of course, everything will be case by case…if its about let say one of your brother or sister or any other relatives who is a trouble marker then, it is difficult to let them go
The instinct to help and find the solution is a natural call, but if they keep make trouble and burden you, then let them go, because it is part to educate them to be independent
If you in relationship and it makes you so hard with no future, then let him go, even if you love him so much…it takes time though and not easy, I saw this happening in one my fam, but at the end the right step is to let it go

I should thanks to the creator of Whatsapp and Line
It makes my job easier, because I connect to people everywhere
I can get update status of my order and response from supplier faster…I can send and receive picture in seconds
But yes, this can be happen when you have internet or wifi connection to your mobile, well I can do Whatsapp thru desktop but…better with my mobile
Technologi made you getting closer and faster to connect with people around the globe
However, use it wisely, because it might turn you to be a selfish person, you focus with your mobile and forget people around you
Well everything has benefit and weakness, its depend on you how to manage it

PayPal

I am sure that PayPal is familiar with those who like to do online shopping.
I am one of PayPal customers/members since around 2008. I have no complain, everything is secure and well maintained.
Recently, I have problem with my CC and PayPal's customer support has prompt response and efficient on handling my problem.
The problem is solved now and I am happy with their service. I can say that this is one of best customer support I have experiences in my life.
What can I ask for more right? Guess? PayPal surprising me by giving a present of $10 into my wallet as New Year present.
It is not much…but I appreciate their service.
Wishing PayPal will keep their good work and save service to their customer/member….

Technology in Your Hand - Samsung J5

In Indonesia, the 4G network is starting to work in around 2015. Therefor, following by smartphone which capable to adapt it.
Used to be I am using Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos, bought it in Sept, 2013. Overall it is still running good and slow loading is more because I have several games and files so it might cause the performa is not optimal.
I give it to my father, and I buy new smartphone and my decision is to go for Samsung - J5. Here are the reasons:

1. It has GSM/HSPA/LTE network
2. 1.5 GB RAM
3. Super AMOLED captive touchscreen, 16 colors.
4. Android OS v5.1.1 (Lollipop)
5. CPU: Quad-core 1.2 Gz Cortex A53
6. The memory capacity is only 8GB, but I can manage it with additional external storage card (32 GB)
7. The price is totally reasonable for Samsung products; I bought it at IDR 2.5 mill.
8. Dual cards

I did a comparison of Samsung J5 to Samsung S6 thru gsmarena.com, I can say it is almost similar, well the RAM for S6 of course is better, it has 3 GB RAM…but if you have limited budget and you want updated technology in your hand, I bet this J5 is meet the requirement.
